making your own nut milks is a lot easier than most think. the milk alternatives sold at stores are usually filled with a lot of things that don't need to be there.
our family fave cashew milk recipe:
1 cup raw cashews (soaked for 12 hours to aid with digestion)
2 cups quality water (we use spring water)
1 teaspoon of vanilla
place the strained cashews, water, dates and vanilla in the blender until desired consistency. you can play with it too ... add more water to thin it out, less water for a more creamy batch.
