About

mod·ern : (noun) a person who advocates or practices a departure from traditional styles or values.

We have the chance to change the future with how we raise and love our children.  That drive and love starts inside us.

We were made to explore ourselves and our existence while wandering this incredible planet. If we aren't doing those things - are we really awake?  Are we living an authentic life and how would we know?

I am a truth seeker.  I am on a journey to find my own truths and allow others to do the same. I am learning and unlearning everyday.  I focus on love as the core of all things in my life.  My life flows best when I bring clarity in to each day.  Everything I've tried to find was inside me the entire timeConnections, serendipity and acts of love happen around me all the time.  The fact that I'm breathing tells me that I am a valuable part of this beautiful planNature brings me peace, exploring liberates my soul, and freedom drives me.  I have fallen and pulled myself back up, even when it felt impossible. I'm a real life superhero. I am you.

I love being a wife and mama of three kids.  I work as a holistic health + life coach.  I'm a speaker. I teach health workshops on understanding our emotions, green and non-toxic living, cooking, the power of essential oils, and other holistic healing modalities.  I went to school at the Institute of Integrative Nutrition based out of New York, NY.  I have continued to further my education and certifications in pursuit of what heals us, and allows us to thrive.  My approach with my clients is based on the understanding that we not just our body.  We have a complex system of emotions that change us on a cellular level, our behaviors and our health.  I've learned the one constant in life is change.  Our bodies and our needs change like seasons. We need to have self-love, clarity and trust within to continue to create a life we love. Most importantly, we walk through belief systems about ourselves and what our healthy self truly is.

Nutritional Focus: food sensitivities, clean eating, and gut healing.  I've dealt with Hachimoto's for 11 years.  It wreaked havoc on my emotions and physical body.  My body would gain and drop weight without notice.  Exhaustion was painful at times, my bones hurt, and mental clarity was a struggle.  I felt anxious, and depressed.  My digestion was off and my stomach would hurt constantly.  I visited many doctors, integrative doctors, healers and holistic health professionals trying to understand what was happening inside of my own body.  This was the turning point for me.  I took a position of power and stopped handing it away.  I was the only one who truly knew what I needed.   I have been gluten free for 6 years.  I can honestly say, I never knew my body could feel as good as it does now.

delish:   A collection of my favorite food creations. I've purposefully created a space for my family to be in touch with what their body needs.  I don't push my idea of their perfect diet on them.  My kids will feed themselves one day, and my focus is that they are empowered to navigate that. In a family of 5, we have all sorts of dishes being created in our kitchen. Examples: my two daughters and I are gluten free.  They both eat meat and I have never eaten meat in my life. I vacillate between vegan and vegetarian.  My husband and son are gluten-full and both don't eat meat. Then, tomorrow it could all be different - you get the idea ;)

fresh home:  non-toxic + green living

“Our deepest fear is not that we are inadequate. Our deepest fear is that we are powerful beyond measure. It is our light, not our darkness that most frightens us. We ask ourselves, 'Who am I to be brilliant, gorgeous, talented, fabulous?' Actually, who are you not to be? You are a child of God. Your playing small does not serve the world. There is nothing enlightened about shrinking so that other people won't feel insecure around you. We are all meant to shine, as children do. We were born to make manifest the glory of God that is within us. It's not just in some of us; it's in everyone. And as we let our own light shine, we unconsciously give other people permission to do the same. As we are liberated from our own fear, our presence automatically liberates others.”  Marianne Williamson
